Koh Ker Group, Beng Mealea & Tonle Sap
Start your day with a 7:00 am pickup from your hotel and embark on a journey to the remote Koh Ker Group archaeological site, located approximately 120 kilometers north of Siem Reap. The centerpiece, Koh Ker Temple, is thought to have served as the state temple of Khmer King Jayavarman IV. This temple, with its seven-tiered pyramid structure and numerous shrines, offers a striking visual experience. Your guide will provide insightful commentary about the powerful Khmer Empire as you explore and capture stunning photos.
In the afternoon, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense) before continuing to Beng Mealea, a mysterious 12th-century temple nestled deep in the jungle. Overgrown with vegetation, trees, lianas, and mosses, Beng Mealea is the most dilapidated stone temple in Angkor Park and one of the largest in this historic area.
Conclude your adventure with a boat cruise to Kampong Phluk fishing village on Tonle Sap before returning to the city.
